First of all, apologies for the lack of posts and prolonged absence, I have been rather busy with my new job and the blog has had to be put on the back burner, however, I am determined to get back in the driver’s seat and get this baby back into gear.
I am the single most festive person you will meet; I bloody love Christmas and am most definitely not afraid to show it. I love the music, the lights, the atmosphere and gathering together everyone you love in the same room.
As part of the Chilbolton Players Amateur Dramatics Group a selection of us decided to organise a Yuletide Masquerade Ball. And it was truly beautiful, the decoration was done on a small budget of £30 and this was the end result. What a difference fairy lights can make. They are life.
With a bit of twinkle and a lot of sparkle the village hall was transformed into a Christmas wonderland fit for Elsa. Well, at least in my opinion.
My outfit was recycled one, a Lipsy powder pink dress that I wore at my 21st birthday party paired with black Blink, strappy stilettos (the plan was white, chunky heeled sandals but a timing issue meant that the toe nails didn’t get repainted so I had to move on to plan B. For jewellery I opted for a beautiful necklace by Pom and glittering heart studs both purchased from the ever-gorgeous Lulu’s . Confession time – the mask was a new buy, but, in my defence I had to buy something new, right? So sorry, bank balance.
The festive season has well and truly kicked off for me now and I am most certainly in the mood – my weakness being cute little tree decorations at the moment – and so, with this in mind, I am sure that many more Christmas-themed blog posts will be coming your way shortly.
The Christmas countdown is on…
Laura xoxo
