BREAKING DOWN MY PERSONAL STYLE

Over many years I have found it increasingly difficult to stick to one main style. I've experimented with clothes in so many different ways, always reinventing myself, always changing. But recently I have been able to coherently characterise my personal style.

Monochrome is my holy grail, but I do however like to mix styles and, with this in mind, have come to the conclusion that the only way to define my personal style, if I were to, is 90s grunge meets Kate Middleton.

I love a brown lip and an oversized denim jacket but I do also love a well-fitted pea coat and a pair of wellies, if the occasion so calls for it, but I guess that's the country girl within me.
It's a battle between Drew Barrymore and Princess Grace of Monaco, Alexa Chung meets Caroline de Maigret. A rather unique collision, I think you'll agree.

Personal style is about expressing yourself through the clothes you love and the mixing of styles is perfectly acceptable. I think, far too often, we are stifled by our need to categorise our style by following trends and sticking to one theme. By mixing styles, customising trends and rebelling against fads, the individuality and independence of style can be expressed and admired.
