Apologies for being a little absent over the past couple of weeks, uni deadlines have been rather hectic, but I'm back and with a post that, I hope you'll agree, is a corker. On Sunday afternoon I went to see the new, live action Cinderella. It, was just incredible (the fact I cried from start to finish is probably evidence enough for this) and it got me thinking about the hype that there has been surrounding the dress, the shoes, the hair and the makeup. Jimmy Choo and others have designed beautiful variations on the glass slipper and they are simply stunning.
Jimmy Choo for Cinderella.
Feminine dressing is not necessarily considered "high fashion", what with the insurgence of the androgynous look, however, in recent years Kate Middleton has reignited the nations passions for princess style: sophisticated, feminine and wistful.
So here are my top picks for dressing like you've just stepped out of your own fairytale:
Asos:
Asos Salon Premium Placed Lace and Appliqué Prom Dress with Organza Hem
Dorothy Perkins:
Elise Ryan Jewel Trim Bandeau Maxi
Boohoo:
Becca Plunge Fish Tail Maxi Dress
So, there you have it, you shall go to the ball! I highly recommend going to see Cinderella, it is just utterly fabulous. Lily James and Richard Madden are amazing and have incredible chemistry, it is a film that makes you believe in true love and magic.
Also, I am obsessed with Pintrest and there are some beautiful pins if you type in 'princess style', you will not be disappointed, they are gorgeous!
May all your dreams come true and remember to have courage and be kind ;-)
Lots of love,
Laura xoxo
