You can view all the shows here.
The main shows that I was looking forward to watching were Vivienne Westwood (the wildness never fails to disappoint), Burberry Prorsum, Anya Hindmarch, Temperley and Topshop Unique. There seemed to be a recurring theme throughout all of the shows: 70s revival, we all saw it coming - let's be honest - and may I be the first to say that I absolutely love it, it's right up my street and I will happily jump on the paisley embellished band wagon! Here are my highlights from one out of two of the most exciting weeks in British fashion.
Topshop Unique is always my favourite show, they display edgy looks that still remain wearable. This season they incorporated my five favourite things: tan, pastels, tailoring, loafers and florals. An autumnal dream, absolute perfection.

Temperley London was dreamy. Full of layering, vibrant tribal patterns and extravagant sequins, however this did not take away from the classic silhouettes, dripping with lace, that Alice Temperley does so well.

Vivienne was as crazy as always, keeping the signature punk tartan look and adding 70s patterns and, even, making a powder pink, ruffled dress, edgy in only the way that Vivienne Westwood can. There were florals, vibrancy and androgynous tailored suits all topped off with smeared red paint across the models faces, classic Westwood - of course a political statement. Fantastic.

Burberry, Burberry, Burberry... What can I say?! It is always more than just a catwalk, it is a full on experience of a show. Always having live acts performing the music (I have Burberry to thank for being introduced to James Bay and for this I am eternally thankful), the most star studded front row you have ever seen and clothes that are so beautiful they make you want to cry. Full of 70s chic, bohemian Paisley, a hell of a lot of tassels and over-the-knee, patterned boots. Christopher Bailey (chief creative officer) has done it again.

And finally, the genius that is Anya Hindmarch. As Hindmarch is, predominantly, an accessories designer, the focus is always drawn away from the clothing and onto the handbags. The theme of the show was road traffic, and it could not have been more apt that they had to start the show late due to traffic difficulties! There was a male voice choir, traffic themed handbags and of course some incredible staging, it was more of a musical finale than a runway show, quirky and fabulous, as per usual. This show gave me goosebumps. I'm in love.

Thankyou for reading the outsiders lowdown on London Fashion Week. My main aim here is demonstrate that you do not have to be part of the elusive "fash-pack" to be interested in fashion and the creativity that it beholds. Fashion is for everybody, it doesn't matter if you mix and match styles, the important thing is that you are allowing yourself to express how you feel through the clothes that you wear. Fashion is not exclusive and it should never make you feel as if it is, embrace your creativity and have courage to wear what you love!
Lots of love,
Laura xoxo
